Regent University School
of Psychology & Counseling offers fully accredited master's and
doctoral programs that balance psychological and biblical principles.
The Master of Arts in Counseling (Community or School Guidance emphasis) is a pre-professional program that leads to licensure and
both programs are CACREP* accredited.
Master of Arts
in Clinical Mental Health Counseling -Similar to the Master of Arts in Counseling offered in Virginia Beach, the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling makes a licensure-track program available to online learners with majors in Clinical Mental Health or School Guidance Counseling.
The Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling is designed to accommodate the counselor training needs of pastors and other counselors in non-profit settings, and can be completed online.
The Regent Doctoral
Program in Clinical
Psychology (Psy.D.),
accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA)**, can lead
to licensure as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and is available in-residence at
the Virginia Beach Campus.
The Doctoral Program
in Counselor Education & Supervision (Ph.D.) is the
only online program of its kind. This program prepares counselors
for university teaching and offers the training necessary to assume
leadership positions within the mental health professions.
Continuing Education Program - Regent University's School of Psychology and Counseling offers continuing education to meet the needs of LPCs, LMFTs, SATPs, LCPs, LCSWs, NCCs, school counselors, psychologists, and others working in the mental health and ministry fields. Meeting professional requirements for licensure and certification renewal has never been more convenient, as a number of seminars, workshops and online instruction are available.
