Area of Expertise:
My research interests have largely focused on marriage and the family, with particular interests on the integration of faith into one's understanding of marriage and mothering. My current research projects focus on emotional experiences of mothers.
Why I Teach at Regent
I am a graduate of Regent University, where I received both my M.A. and my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology. I received my bachelor's degree from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio, majoring in Applied Psychology and minoring in Bible. Throughout my own training in higher education, I found a joint focus on psychology and theology to be important to my understanding of each discipline. Therefore, upon completion of my degree, my desire was to work in an academic setting where instruction of psychology would be met with Biblical integration. In my classes, it is my desire to provide each of my students with a solid foundation in psychological theories and research and then to interact with them in addressing how a Biblical worldview fits within that material.
Biography
I am married to my husband, Jeremy, and we have a 4-year-old daughter, Mallory, who keeps us busy. In my spare time, I enjoy watching sports and reading travel books. Being raised in Ohio, my family enjoys cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes through any sporting event!
