The M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) is designed to prepare educators to develop and deliver effective instructional opportunities for diverse students in various learning settings including public, private, higher education, and the workplace. Educators with leadership responsibilities (or who desire such responsibilities) such as department head, content specialist, lead teacher, or curriculum developer will benefit from this degree as well as those employed in school system or higher education administration, corporate, and non-profit settings.
The Adult Education concentration emphasizes understanding the unique characteristics of adult learners and examining and applying strategies for designing effective programs and instructional opportunities for these learners. In addition, the C&I degree stresses understanding program and student assessment and the effective integration of technology into instructional programs.

- Length: 32 credit hours. May be completed in 18-24 months.
- Format: Courses offered entirely online via Blackboard or in a hybrid model. Students may begin the program in the fall, spring, or summer semesters.

C&I Adult Education graduates will be able to:
- Examine and understand key adult education theories.
- Understand the historical roots of adult education in America and the impact of this history on contemporary programs.
- Design effective programs, materials, and lessons for adults in various settings.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of curricula for adults.
- Examine issues related to teaching and learning from a Christian worldview.
