Who Receives Financial Aid?
- We awarded over $3.7 million in scholarships and grants for the 2011-2012 school year.
- Over 80 percent of our students receive financial aid in the form of Regent scholarships and grants.
- Over 90 percent of our students receive assistance through other forms of aid.

- The tuition rate for the 2011-2012 academic year is $1,060 per credit hour.
- Tuition for the 2011-2012 academic year is $32,860 for first-year, full-time students (31 credit hours), and $24,380 for first-year, part-time students (23 credit hours).

Types of Financial Aid
Regent Law Scholarships & Grants
Regent Law scholarships and grants are only applicable toward the cost of tuition.
- Only students who have been admitted to Regent Law are considered for law school scholarships and grants. The law school will review each student for aid within two weeks of the letter of admission. An email notification will be sent following the review process.
- Continuing students will be reviewed following the spring semester. Email notifications will be sent by mid-June if a change in the award is merited.
- All students should be familiar with the awarding and renewal criteria of the scholarships and grants, as well as the Policies and Procedures guiding the law school's financial aid program.
University-wide Scholarships and Grants
University-wide scholarships and grants are only applicable toward the cost of tuition.
- Continuing law students are encouraged to review the criteria and application process for University-Wide Endowed Scholarships.
- The application deadline is March 1 and recipients are selected by a University-wide committee facilitated by the Central Financial Aid Office.
Federal Student Loans
Federal Student Loans (Stafford
and Graduate PLUS
) are applicable toward the entire cost of attendance .
- Stafford Loans have an annual limit of $20,500 (unsubsidized).
- Graduate PLUS Loans usually cover the remaining cost-of-attendance after other aid (Stafford Loans, scholarships, and grants) is applied.
- A FAFSA
is required for all federal student loans. Regent University's Code is 030913.
- The 2012-2013 FAFSA will be available January 1, 2012. All federal and private loans are facilitated through the Central Financial Aid Office.
- New students are encouraged to submit a FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1 and should not wait for an admission decision.
- No financial commitment is made until loan funds are disbursed to the university in mid-August.
Non-institutional and DVA Benefits
- Scholarships and grants not awarded through Regent Law or Regent University
- Regent Law fully participates in benefits offered by the DVA.
- All benefits are processed via the university's Registrar's Office and are included in the student's financial aid package. Students are responsible for determining eligibility and benefit amount with the DVA.
