Cost of Attendance

Each year, the Central Financial Aid Office establishes standard student "budgets" that use cost of attendance estimates for awarding financial aid funds. In addition to tuition and fees, these budgets include typical living expenses of Regent University students based on student surveys conducted by CFA staff. These budget figures are used for planning purposes only and should not be viewed as an "actual" cost of attending Regent.

Your estimated Cost of Attendance budget is made up of billable and non-billable costs. Both billable and non-billable costs are considered in the determination of your financial aid awards. When your financial aid awards are paid to your student account, these funds cover your billable costs. Student aid in excess of the billable charges will be refunded to the student or parent and can be used to pay for non-billable costs, such as books, housing, etc.

In determining the "cost" of attending Regent Unversity, first consider how much you can receive in "free" awards (grants, scholarships). Your School of Enrollment can assist you in determing your eligibility for school based scholarships. The detailed budget listed is an estimation of expenses broken down into components incurred by the average student attending Regent University as an on-campus student. Therefore, a distance student may not require the full amount of this budget, but is eligible to receive up to the estimated cost of the budget based on his/her individual need. It is left up to the student to allocate this allowance among his/her living expenses based on the individual?s particular needs and wants, but not in order to live beyond the necessities of the average student. It is highly suggested that the student weigh the total cost of attendance and use this estimated budget to borrow only the amount of his/her absolute need required in order to further his/her education.

The budgets listed below are for the 2010-2011 aid year, which runs from Fall 2010 through Spring 2011. For the current 2009-2010 aid year, click here for the Cost of Attendance budgets.
