The 3-D Modeler serves as a member the United States Joint Forces Command (JFCOM) Terrain Services Team (in Suffolk, VA) for the identification, acquisition, development, and management of Geospatial Intelligence Data to support virtual and constructive simulation databases that are used in JFCOM exercises.

ESSENTAIL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Publish exercise-ready data for 3-D virtual terrain databases.
• Identify production process optimization; testing visual attributes to ensure models are rendered correctly as part of the virtual terrain database.
• Produce geo-specific, geo-typical, and dynamic 3D models.
• Create and modify 3D real-time visual and common environment models.
• Create and apply texture, color, light and shading to visual models.
• Modify visual attributes and document model design specifications.
• Develop metadata and versioning of geospatial data.
• Update and maintain 3D model and texture library.
• Coordinate and liaison with source data providers and exercises planners customers.

Requirements:Must be male, and able to lift 130 pound man. No experience necessary. On the job training will be provided.

Responsibilities: Bathing, dressing, toiletting, light housekeeping, simple meal preparation if needed, short trips to doctor or errands. A sample day would look like: arrive around 7:30 AM , get me out of bed, dressed, showered, fed, and make lunch (sandwich). I am picked up for school at 10 each day, and the house can be straitened up after I go. Then I need the attendant to be on call throughout the day and able to come to campus when I need to use the rest room. Sometimes I will need my attendant to accompany me to the store or a doctors appointment/physical therapy. I am flexible and will work around your class schedule after I arrive on campus.

Advocacy Officer/Regional Manager - International Christian Concern (08/04/2009)

This job has a two-part focus. The first part of the position is to advocate on behalf of persecuted Christians with US and foreign governments. Such advocacy includes, but is not limited to:

  • Organizing and leading quarterly visits between members of the persecuted church and government officials (House, Congress, State Dept. USCIRF)
  • Educating government officials about Christian persecution,
  • Leading petition efforts
  • Responding on a case-by-case basis to crisis situations that arise.

The second vital part of this position is that of acting as a Regional Manager (RM) for ICC projects in South Asia, Central Asia, Turkey, Europe, and Latin America. Acting as Regional Manager includes, but is not limited to:

Daily searching for news reports about persecution for the region and posting them on ICC's website on a daily basis,

Developing and maintaining correspondents in the region to supply ICC-generated stories

  • Writing and editing press releases
  • Conducting media interviews
  • Writing articles for ICC's newsletter
  • Travelling to the region on fact-finding trips
  • Maintain updated information on countries in the region

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • We have a strong preference for an individual with a strong Christian witness and history.
  • Commitment to defending the cause of Christians persecuted for their faith.
  • Strong familiarity or experience with the legislative process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Outgoing, personal, and professional demeanor.
  • Experience working in Congress or State Department preferred.
  • History of international travel to hardship areas preferred.
  • Knowledge of international Christian persecution issues a plus but not mandatory.
Pay $40,000-$60,000 with benefits
